How did you decide to go into the education field?

I have always had a passion for learning at a young age. I always knew I wanted to work in a field where I could help children and becoming a teacher has allowed me to shape the minds of children to be the best versions of themselves and to become lifelong learners.

How has school funding made a difference in your classroom?

My school hosts fundraisers outside of school to earn money for our classrooms. We each receive a set amount at the beginning of the school year to spend on our class which really makes a big difference when it comes to purchasing items that students need in order to be successful during the year.

What resources and supports can further benefit your classroom/school/community?

Additional state funding

Who/What inspires you? Why?

My mom has always been my biggest motivation. She has always instilled in me to be a hard worker and a go-getter. She inspires me every day to wake up and be the best version of myself that I can be.

What accomplishment fills you with pride so far this year?

I am furthering my personal goals and plan to go back to school this summer to continue my education.

If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?

“Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make makes you.” - John Maxwell

What is your favorite movie/book?

“Inception”
